Celebrating Youth Achievements and Resilience At Our Annual Graduation Celebration!

This year’s Graduation Celebration was a powerful reminder of the resilience, dedication, and growth of the youth we serve. We came together as a community to celebrate the achievements of 15 incredible young people, 10 graduates and 5 honor roll students, ages 4 to 18 years old.

Among the graduates, we proudly honored:

  • 5 students graduating from Pre-K/Kindergarten
  • 3 students graduating from 8th grade
  • 2 students graduating from 12th grade

In addition to our graduates, we celebrated 5 honor roll students who, despite facing personal and academic struggles, demonstrated determination and perseverance. These young people utilized the resources available to them, including tutoring services, community room access, and regular youth check-ins, to overcome challenges with attendance, time management, and academic performance. Their hard work paid off! The students achieved honor roll status for the school year. Two of these students, in particular, battled both personal hurdles and academic setbacks, yet through persistence and support, they rose to the occasion and succeeded. Each youth was gifted a token of recognition—15 gift cards distributed to the honorees.

One standout moment came when a youth, who has been consistently involved in programming throughout the year, took the opportunity to share their voice by requesting a gaming program—something they had been asking for all year. This idea sparked enthusiasm and inspired the vision of launching a community-building gaming initiative next school year, with this youth taking on a leadership role in its development.

This celebration not only marked academic milestones but also highlighted the importance of community, mentorship, and resilience. It reminded us all that every success—whether big or small—is worth honoring, and that when youth are supported, they can and will rise to meet their fullest potential!
