For decades, the residents of Bayview Hunters Point have faced systemic challenges—housing instability, economic displacement, and limited access to essential resources. While services exist, true support requires trust, cultural relevance, and a deep understanding of community needs.
Providence Foundation has built this trust. For 28 years, we have provided protective care for San Francisco’s most underserved communities, and for over 60 years, Providence Baptist Church has stood for the least, the lost, and the lonely—uplifting and advocating for those in need. This history of culturally relevant, community-driven support makes us uniquely positioned to bridge gaps and empower residents to thrive in place.
Introducing Providence Pathways – Bayview Rising
Providence Pathways – Bayview Rising is a community-centered initiative designed to provide direct case management services, resource connection, and stabilization support—all at no cost to residents. Because our community has already paid enough in systemic inequities, we are committed to ensuring access to solutions that truly help.
Key Components
- Community Case Management – Personalized support for youth, young adults, and families navigating housing, employment, and mental health systems.
- Direct Services & Advocacy – Immediate access to financial assistance, education, and workforce development opportunities.
- Dedicated Resource Hotline (800 Number) – A trusted, centralized helpline ensuring timely referrals and assistance, reducing confusion, and fostering connection.
- Culturally Relevant Support – Led by an organization deeply embedded in the community, ensuring trust, cultural competence, and true impact.
Why This Matters
Bayview Hunters Point continues to experience a shrinking Black population, rising homelessness, and increasing costs of living. Families are being pushed out, and those who remain struggle with housing insecurity and economic hardship.
